English: object type / vase shape: ionian ianiform kantharos

- description plastic part: on both sides head / face of a young woman (or a young beardless man, but the piercings of the ears, indicated by black dots, seem to support the identification as female) - black figure painted part (with incised lines) on the interior of the rim: row of diving dolphins - production place: probably Samos - potter / workshop: same mould as the face-kantharoi in Firenze, Boston and Berlin - painter: probably Osborne House Painter (Shefton) - period / date: ripe archaic, ca. 540-530 BC - material: pottery (clay) - museum / inventory number: Firenze, Museo Archaeologico Nazionale V.26 - bibliography: John D.
