עברית: נשיא המדינה יצחק הרצוג ורעייתו מיכל, מארחים את טקס הענקת פרס שזר, הפרס מוענק מדי שנה בשנה, החל משנת תשמ"ה (1985) על מחקר פורץ דרך בתחום ההיסטוריה היהודית. הפרס על שמו של זלמן שזר, נשיאה השלישי של מדינת ישראל, לחוקר או לחוקרת אשר כתבו בשפה העברית ספר מקורי על תולדות עם ישראל. במשך השנים זכו בפרס בכירי החוקרים והחוקרות של תולדות עם ישראל. נוכח גם יו"ר מכון שזר אלוף במיל' זאבי פרקש. יום ראשון, ה' בתשרי תשפ"ב, 30 באוקטובר 2022. קרדיט צילום: עמוס בן גרשום/ לע״מ. הזוכים בפרס:
הזוכות בציון לשבח: * ד"ר אלה אילון כתבה את עבודת הדוקטורט שלה באוניברסיטה הפתוחה, זוכה בפרס ע"ש יובל היימן ז"ל לחוקרים בראשית דרכם. עבודתה של ד"ר אלה אילון נסבה על הטיפול ביתומים במשך ארבעה עשורים מטלטלים. בפרק זמן זה ה'יישוב', על מגוון קהילות המשנה הישנות והחדשות שבו, הפך למדינה ריבונית.
