עברית: נשיא המדינה יצחק הרצוג בסיור בעיר אילת. במסגרת הביקור השתתף הנשיא בניקיון חופים עם בני נוער מהעיר המקיימים צלילות ניקיון בחופי הים במפרץ אילת.את סיורו של הנשיא בעיר ליווה ראש עיריית אילת אלי לנקרי. הנשיא החל את סיורו בביקור בבית הספר היסודי הממלכתי-דתי "ימין הרצוג" הקרוי על שם סבו. הנשיא הוזמן במכתב מתלמידי בית הספר, בו הם סיפרו לו על הדרך בה בית הספר הושפע ממורשתו של סבו, הרב יצחק אייזיק הלוי הרצוג זצ"ל, ועל הדרך בה פועלים לשמר אותה. בביקורו, הנשיא נפגש עם תלמידי בית הספר ועם צוות ההוראה וראה את קיר המורשת המוקדש לסבו. בהמשך היום פגש הנשיא בני נוער המשתתפים בפרויקט "שומרי המפרץ", במסגרתו מקיימים צלילות ניקיון במטרה לשמור על הסביבה הביולוגית הימית הייחודית של העיר אילת. הנשיא פגש את בני הנוער בחוף הים בתום צלילתם והם הציגו לנשיא את האשפה שנאספה על ידם במהלך היום. במפגש השתתפה גם מנהלת מחלקת הנוער בעיריית אילת עופרה בוארון, שאחראית על הפרויקט. רכז שומרי המפרץ אבירן עדאוי, מדריך הצלילה נועם הרש והחניכים גאיה גרינברג, בר שחף, ראם ויסנר סיפרו לנשיא על עבודתם השוטפת ובפרט על עומס האשפה הרב שמצטבר בעונת התיירות. לבסוף, השתתף הנשיא במפגש עם חברי מועצת עיריית אילת ועם ראש העיר אלי לנקרי. במפגש עם חברי מועצת העיר והנהלת העירייה סקר ראש העירייה אלי לנקרי בפני הנשיא את האתגרים וההזדמנויות של העיר אילת עם סגירת שדה דב, הסופה שפקדה את חופי אילת, מגפת הקורונה שהשלכותיה על העיר אילת היו קשות וכן ההתמודדות עם שינויי האקלים. יום שני, כ"ו בחשוון תשפ"ב, 1בנובמבר 2021. קרדיט צילום: קובי גדעון/לע"מ. |
