Description
Български: 422. Група надгробни паметници из гробищата на с. Конгас, Сев[ерна] Добруджа. В скицата е представен един гроб, над него са забити два каменни и два дървени паметника. Единият от каменните носи на горната си страна щерни (дупки) за вода или вино, „за да става мъртвият да пие" или „от водата, събрана от дъжда, да пият птиците и да поменуват". Куклите са големи и дъбови. Каменните паметници са четвъртити, с издълбани кръстчета върху лицата им; много често се срещат и кукли, които имат върху лицата си издълбани подобни кръстчета. Когато в един и същи гроб след известни промеждутъци от време заравят втори, трети и пр. мъртъвци, куклите на по-първите, а също и каменните паметници не се изхвърлят, а пред тях се забиват нови — ето защо на един гроб ние срещаме по 2, 3, 4 и повече дървени и каменни паметници.
