Français : Original caption: " Les soldats allemands marchent en colonnes pour traverser la Grand-Place d’Echternach, aujourd’hui la Place du Marché, avant de poursuivre vers la capitale lors de l’invasion du Luxembourg début août 1914. Ils passent devant l’Hôtel-Restaurant de la Place, sur la face sud de la principale place de la ville, où des badauds à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur de l’hôtel observent la scène. Le photographe n'a figé sur la pellicule qu'une petite partie des milliers de soldats allemands qui traversèrent Luxembourg à ce moment. " |
