Description
English: Photograph of aviator J. Clifford Turpin at the controls of a Wright Model-B biplane at the Dominguez Hills Air Meet, 1912. The wood and canvas plane is at center and is facing slightly to the left. Turpin and a passenger are seated on the wing at center. The plane's engine is behind them and is connected to the large pusher propeller by a bicycle chain. The plane is on a large dirt air strip, and a crowd has gathered along the edge of the runway in the background.
