English: BUILT CIRCA 1856 AS A SUMMER HOME FOR THE LUCAS FAMILY. JOHN LUCAS FOUNDED THE PAINT WORKS FACILITY WHICH IS ADJACENT TO SILVER LAKE AND THIS HOME. LUCAS WAS AN INNOVATOR IN PAINT MANUFACTURING AND HAD THE FIRST PATENT FOR “READY-MIX” PAINT
