This vessel was built in Aarhus in 1828 by N.H. Printz. In her early years she was known as Caroline Cicilie Pauline. That is also the name used in Mossin's 1843 list of Danish vessels. At that time she was owned by Chr. Bang, and her master was J. Jørgensen. When this painting was made, she was owned by C. Langballe and had P.W. Jensen as master. By 1886 the owner was C.P. Rasenberg, also of Aarhus. Her last year in the ship registry was 1888. Description (in Danish) at jmarcussen.dk. |
