Jacobite broadside - possibly William Murray, Marquess of Tullibardine |

Description |
National Library of Scotland labels erroneously labels this image "Earl of Ancaster, Lord Tullibardine-Blair?" but the Earldom of Ancaster was not created until 1892. It is possibly William Murray, Marquess of Tullibardine, eldest surviving son of the Duke of Athol, who was attainted and excluded from the succession to the dukedom. Earl of Athol was a subsidiary title that may have been confused with Earl of Ancaster. |
