Description
English: Lt. Gen. James Bucknall, deputy commander of NATO and International Security Assistance Forces in Afghanistan, went on his first battle field circulation, Sept. 25-28. Bucknall visited Provisional Reconstruction Teams in the Afghan provinces of Konduz, Balkh, Faryhab, and Wardak. Through PRTs, ISAF supports reconstruction and development in Afghanistan, securing areas in which reconstruction work is conducted by other national and international actors. Currently, there are 26 PRTs operating through Afghanistan. (Photo by U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Joshua Treadwell) (Released)
