DescriptionJapan- Duty Faces Us - Total Defeat of Japan WWII Poster.jpg |
English: Painting of hand holding upraised sword. Cuff of sleeve is US, UK, Nationalist Chinese flags. Arabic text at bottom talks of 1943 Cairo Conference and 1944 resolve to defeat Japan.
Translation: "Japan" "Duty faces us" "Total defeat of Japan" "A year ago, The president of the United States, The British prime minister, and the Chinese supreme leader met in the Middle East to put plans to defeat Japan. They announced in the Cairo declaration of December 1943 that "the three major allied nations will persist on the extensive military efforts required for Japan's complete surrender without restrictions or conditions". And now, a year later, the signs of this defeat are showing. As the strengths of the allied nations slowly but steadily moves tirelessly to penetrate the defenses of Japan. And this duty is heavy but the friendship with the middle east, where the allied nations plans are being made, helped baring it." |
