Description
Español: Jarque de Moncayo asienta su caserío bajo su imponente castillo que actualmente se halla en estado de ruina. El origen de Jarque puede proceder, según algunos historiadores, de la palabra exárico: vasallo o colono mudéjar. Es muy probable, ya que se tiene constancia de que mayoritariamente su población profesaba la religión islámica y el urbanismo de la población es el típico musulmán desordenado y de callejuelas sinuosas.

De esta ocupación mayoritaria mudéjar proviene la tradición alfarera del lugar. En las calles podemos encontrar topónimos como Alfajarín, que hace referencia a la calle del gremio de los alfareros, o La Tejera, lugar donde se fabricaban tejas.

El castillo, cuya construcción es atribuida a Lope Fernández de Luna, debió de levantarse a mediados del siglo XIV tras la Guerra de los Dos Pedros contra Castilla. Es de mampostería, con cuatro torreones en forma tronco-cónica y con almenas apuntadas, netamente mudéjares.

Además en la parte inferior de la población se encuentra la iglesia parroquial de la Presentación de la Virgen, un edificio barroco con notable torre
