| Description |
Français : Composition assez serrée au abord de la place du château et exclusivement composé de grès. En effet, le palais Rohan et son grès beige, le lycée et pour ça part en grès rouge et enfin bien sur la cathédrale de Strasbourg et son iconique grès rose des Vosges. Nous sommes assurément dans une région gréseuse. Dans chaque sous-région, la concentration de tels ou tels minéraux change quelque peu la couleur. Le rouge est souvent par exemple originaire de Saverne, connu pour ça. Le grès est présent dans le monde entier, le grand canyon, iconique, aux États-Unis, en est rempli.
