English: Portrait of Jean de Lens (1616-1689) Français : Portrait de l'orfèvre parisien Jean de Lens, orfèvre de Monsieur frère du Roy. Jean de Lens, est un orfèvre français, né à Bruxelles en janvier 1616, et décédé à Paris le 13 décembre 1689, fils de Guillaume de Lens, maître orfèvre à Bruxelles, et de Marie van Opstal, soeur du fameux sculpteur Gérard van Opstal fondateur de l'Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Paris. Il avait épousé à Paris en 1644, paroisse Saint-Étienne, Catherine Swellinck, née à Paris le 8 mars 1616 y décédée en 1684, fille du graveur Jean Swellinck et de Catherine Moncornet. |
