References "Das Porträt wurde 1810 von dem Berliner Zeichenmeister Heusinger gemalt, bei dem der Kronprinz auch Zeichenunterricht hatte. Die Beschriftung auf der Rückseite ("Friedrich Wilhelm IV. als Kronprinz / Geschenk der Königin Luise 1809 an Friedrich Delbrück") von Nachfahren Delbrücks. Die Überlieferung in der Familie hat das Andenken irrtümlich mit der offiziellen Entlassung Delbrücks im Jahre 1809 in Zusammenhang gebracht. In gleicher Art, allerdings ohne Haarlocke, wurde auch das Portrait des zweiten Zöglings, Prinz WilhelmFile:Johann Heusinger Bildnis Prinz Wilhelm (I.)
