Description
English: Johannes Anspach (1752-1823), self portrait, dated 1811. Anspach was a pastelist, draftsman, painter and owner of an artist's studio in the Netherlands. His name was also written as 'Johan Anspach'.

Nederlands: De tekening staat in het paspoort van Johannes Anspach. Dat paspoort werd op "den 27 van Sprokkelmaand 1811" getekend door de Maire van Rotterdam. Los bijgevoegd is een brief: "Ik ben klein van stature et wat gezet, rond van wezen, blaauw van oogen, / de Neus wat gebogen, ben bruin van hairen en omtrent 60 Jaaren oud." Dit is door de broer van Anspach uit het Duits naar het Nederlands vertaald en gedateerd 215 februari 1811.
