Captain Frederick William Beechey interviewed John Adams, mutinier on the Bounty, during his visit to Pitcairn Island, and published a book about his voyage in 1831. A photocopy of a similar portrait of Adams, made by Laderer after a drawing by Mme Danvin, in placed in the same wrapper. |
