Description
English: Exact-stern views of HMS Invincible, Ruby and Isis (late the Dimant) three of the French Men of War taken 3 May 1747 under the command of Lord Anson with an anachronistic flag added by a much later colourist.

Engraved by John Boydell, published by R. Short 1750. Coloured much later (19th century or later); the colourist has added an anachronistic St Patrick's saltire to the British flag which is not present in the original engraving.
