Deutsch: Das Bild zeigt das Rheintal im Schweizer Kanton St. Gallen. Dieses Bild malte der Schweizer Künstler Josef Ebnöther in seinem Frühwerk 1958 perspektivisch korrekt als schwarz-weiße Lithographie. Wolken, Berge, Bäume, Häuser, Wege und Felder sind gegenständlich wiedergegeben und gut erkennbar, Bildreduzierungen kaum vorhanden. Diese Lithographie hat eine Auflage von 250 Arbeiten, im abgebildeten Fall ist es der Abzug Nr. 156. Die angegebenen Abmessungen geben die des Druckbildes wieder und nicht die Abmessungen des Büttenpapiers. Im Jahr 1957 malte Ebnöther ein ähnliches Bild vom Rheintal als Ölgemälde. Dieses Bild präsentierte das Kunstmuseum Appenzell von Juni 2013 bis Anfang Januar 2014 der Öffentlichkeit in einer Soloausstellung zusammen mit anderen Werken des Künstlers.
English: The painting shows the Rhine valley in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen. The Swiss artist Josef Ebnöther painted this picture in his early work in 1958 as a black and white lithograph with a correct perspective. Clouds, mountains, trees, houses, paths and fields are reproduced as figurative elements and are easily recognisable; image reductions are barely noticeable. This lithograph has an edition of 250 sheets. In this case it is print no. 156. The dimensions given are those of the printed artwork and not the dimensions of the handmade paper. In the year 1957, Ebnöther painted a similar picture of the Rhine Valley as an oil painting. The Appenzell Art Museum presented this painting to the public from June 2013 to the beginning of January 2014 in a solo exhibition together with other works by the artist. |
