Description
English: In this installment of Tad Dorgan's Prohibition-era comic strip Judge Rummy, the Judge buys apple cider from a farmer, who gives him instructions on how to convert it into an alcoholic beverage. However, the instructions are more complex than the judge expected.

Farmer: Yep that's real cider – just let the cork loose for 2 or 3 weeks –
Judge Rummy: And it'll grow a kick eh?

Farmer: Then put it near the furnace for 2 or 3 weeks more – mix half a pound of sugar with 1/4 of a yeast cake for each gallon –

Farmer: Let that stand 3 weeks then put it in bottles – let them rest a year or two –
