Object history Ex. coll. Fraser-Martin. Purchased at William Rockefeller sale, cat. #1343, Anderson Galleries, 1924. Mr. William Rodman of Soapitor Co., Inc. 154 W. 14th Street, NYC, was present at the sale and told Mrs. Wiltbank that the sampler was made by his grandmother by marriage, Elizabeth Thurston.
