Deutsch: Junkers W 34hau (CA + AS), FFS A/B 121, Straubing (Mitterharthausen, Niederbayern), ca. Mai 1941. Die W 34hau (Handanlasser aussen) ist die zweite Variante der Junkers W 34 mit 1x BMW-Bramo 322 luftgekühltem 9-Zylinder-Sternmotor mit 1x 650 PS Startleistung, angenäherter NACA-Motorenverkleidung und vorne liegendem Auspuffsammelring. Das (Stamm-)Kennzeichen dieser Schulmaschine für den Navigations- und Blindflug lautet CA + AS. -
  • Bei der dt. Luftwaffe waren s. wahrscheinlich über 2000 Exemplare der W 34hi und W 34hau im Einsatz. Die anderen in https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junkers_W_34#Versionen genannten Varianten waren Verkehrsflugzeuge, Versuchsmuster, Einzelstücke oder Exportmodelle. Auch aus Gründen der Ersatzteilhaltung war ein Einsatz von Versionen mit zum Teil exotischen Motoren eher ausgeschlossen. Was bei der dt. Luftwaffe ausserdem eingesetzt wurde, war die Junkers W 33he mit Junkers L5G Motor, wobei die W33he Cockpits dem der W 34 angepasst waren. Hinzu kamen noch zwei der aus der W 34 abgeleiteten Postflugzeuge Junkers Ju 46. Bei Cockpitfotos von W 33he, W 34hi und W 34hau muss man sehr genau hinsehen, um diese unterscheiden zu können. Die W 34hau erkennt man an dem eingebauten Ladedruckmesser, die W 33he an den zusätzlichen Anzeigegeräten für das Kühlwasser. Und bei der Ju 46 sah es wieder anders aus, dort dominierte das in der Mitte eingebaute Funkgerät das Gerätebrett, und die Kurbel für den Anlasser befand sich hinter dem Steuerrad rechts unten. -
  • Interessant sind äusserlich erkennbare funktechnische Anbauten an der W 34 (CA + AS): Der Luftschraubengenerator für die Stromversorgung der Funkanlagen (FuG III und andere), und der große Peilrahmen für die Navigationsanlage Peil G I.
