Summary[edit]

Description
English: In August 1924, around the 10th anniversary of the outbreak of the war, mass demonstrations took place across Germany, called for by the Action Committee of the 'Never Again War Movement', as they had been every year since 1920. Käthe Kollwitz, commissioned by the 'Socialist Workers' Youth' in Leipzig, creates what is probably the most famous German anti-war poster to date.
