Description
English: Sculptures on left of the Chennakeshava Temple, Belur, Karnataka, India. Bottom row shows variety of designs placed in lion heads and between heads. The next row shows creeper design, with sculptures in each portion. Above a decorative overhang, next are ladies with variety of hairstyles (about 600+ unique styles depicted around the temple) and some sculptures of kings / nobles included in some places. Above them are smaller replicas of other sculptures elsewhere, especially, Madanikas. The next row shows worshippers, shikras and lions in various arrangements. On top row of this picture are other depictions of everyday life of the times.
