Summary[edit]
This file is a stereogram. Stereograms are stereoscopic images or animations which combine left and right frames showing slightly different visual angles to allow for 3D perception.
The stereogram uses the side-by-side parallel-view method. The left frame shows the left eye's perspective, and the right frame the right eye's perspective. It might be possible to view this image without a viewing device by diverging your eyes to visually combine the frames, or a stereoscope may be used. |

DescriptionKA 120 Halebidu Sculptures 1 Gajasurasamhara Govardhana Krishna small.jpg |
English: On leftt : Shiva Gajasurasamhara. Lord Shiva dances in triumph on the severed head of the elephant demon Nila, while stretching the elephant's skin over his head like a canopy.
The next one is of Lord Krishna lifting the Govardhan Hill to protect all, especially the cattle depicted here, from the heavy rains and flooding. The third is of a damsel dancing - a madanika. The fourth (on right side facing left) is of Lord Krishna playing the flute - however most of the flute is damaged and gone. The next three are of different damsels, out of which the right most is similar to the Madanika, "Darpana Sundari", carved in Chennakeshava Temple, Belur. These sculptures of Hoysala architecture are on outside of the shrines of Hoysaleswara Temple, Halebidu, Karnataka, India. Parallel view images taken consecutively and combined for Stereoscopic effect. |
