| Description |
English: Buzz had a slogan printed on local railway tickets to Stansted: "Three people had an idea" With it's lurid colour scheme on the outside, yellow, lime green and urple interior - inspiring fear, nausea and paranoia in that order - a better slogan would have been "Three out-of-touch KLM executives had a bad idea". Using KLM UK Ltd's AOC , Buzz took over the former Air UK / KLM Cityhopper UK Ltd routes from Stansted and tried to compete against low cost competition. It was bound to fail and it did. Eventually sold to Ryanair, who quickly disposed of the ageing BAe146 fleet but kept the brand-new 737s for a while, before eventually disposing of those too. Air UK had been fantastic, seeing it destroyed by a bunch of arrogant Cloggies was heart-breaking. |
