Description
English: The minelayer KNM Tyr (N47) is transferred to the Royal Norwegian Navy following conversion from USS Sustain (MMC-2), formerly MSF-119, at the Charleston Naval Shipyard, South Carolina (USA), on 1 October 1959. The stern of Tyr's sister ship, KNM Gor (N48) (converted from USS Strive (MMC-1), formerly MSF-117) is visible at the extreme right.
