Das Stollensystem "Kellerbau" wurde bereits seit der der 2. Jahreshälfte des Jahres 1943 durch Häftlinge des KZ Gusen I errichtet und gliederte sich in die Abschnitte "Kellerbau I-II" und "Kellerbau III". Diese Stollen beherbergten ab 1944 Produktionsstätten der Kommandos "Rüstung-Messerschmitt", "Rüstung-Steyr Daimler Puch" und "Waffentechnische Lehranstalt der Waffen-SS Graz". In diesen Stollen sollte im Jahre 1945 kurz vor Kriegsende ein großer Teil der Häftlinge der Konzentrationslager Gusen I & II zu Tode gesprengt werden. Erst im Herbst 1947 versuchte ein Sprengkommando der Roten Armee auch dieses Stollensystem zu zerstören. Die Tunnelruine dieser Stollen ist wie "Bergkristall" in St. Georgen seit 2001 im Besitz der Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft (BIG) und wurde am Anfang des 21. Jahrhunderts teilweise mit Beton verfüllt. "Kellerbau III" trägt auch die Bezeichnung "Luftschutzbunker OÖ 21/1".
