Description
Deutsch: Der Geysir Andernach ist mit 50 bis 60 m Höhe der höchste Kaltwassergeysir der Welt. Der Geysir wurde 1903 erstmals auf einer Halbinsel im Rhein bei Andernach erbohrt. Aufgrund von Schäden im Laufe der Jahre wurde der Gaysir 1957 außer Betrieb gesetzt. Seit 2006 springt der Geysir wieder regelmäßig und im freien Zyklus. Die Eruptionsdauer beträgt etwa 8 Minuten, bei einem natürlichen Intervall von 100 Minuten.
