Description	English: A Japanese Mitsubishi A6M kamikaze barely misses the U.S. Navy light aircraft carrier USS Belleau Wood (CVL-24) on 6 April 1945. The aircraft hit the water about 30 metres from the starboard side abaft the stacks. Shrapnel from a bomb carried hit the ship and the aircraft's propeller hit the flight deck.
