Description
Deutsch: Der Meke Gölü (Meke Tuzlası) bei Karapınar ist mit seinem zentralen Aschekegel das eindrucksvollste Maar in der Vulkanregion von Karapınar. Sein Alter wird auf etwa 5 Millionen Jahre geschätzt. Er liegt 981 m über dem Meer. Der Aschekegel im See ragt etwa 50 m über den Wasserspiegel. Vor ca. 9000 Jahren nahm es seine endgültige Form infolge einer zweiten Explosion in der Mitte des Sees an.
