Description
Čeština: Hrob na hřbitově Malvazinky v Praze (sekce: FII, číslo hrobu 96; pořadové číslo na oficiálním seznamu: 138). Karel Urban (* 16. října 1870 – 30. ledna 1941) byl varhanář (stavitel varhan) z Prahy na Malé Straně, autor řady nástrojů v kostelech v Plzni, Přerově, Praze, Sázavě a dalších městech. Karel Urban se vyučil v pražské firmě varhanáře Heinricha Schiffnera. Působil po celém území Čech, Moravy a Slezska od roku 1910 do první poloviny 20. století. Soustředil se na úpravy starších varhan v dobovém kontextu. Některé práce Karla Urbana pronikly i do zahraničí. Jeho syn Josef Urban navázal na otcovu tradici a stejně jako Karel Urban vyráběl i Josef klavíry.

Karel Urban (* 16 October 1870 - 30 January 1941) was an organ builder from Prague's Lesser Town, the author of many instruments in churches in Pilsen, Přerov, Prague, Sázava and other towns. Karel Urban was apprenticed in the Prague firm of organ builder Heinrich Schiffner. He worked throughout Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia from 1910 to the first half of the 20th century. He concentrated on the modification of older organs in the context of the period. Some of Karel Urban's works have also penetrated abroad. His son Josef Urban continued his father's tradition and, like Karel Urban, Josef also made pianos.
