Summary
[edit]DescriptionKaymakli-06-Alaskan-Dude.jpg | Cappadocia is one of the prettiest areas of Turkey - rich in scenery and in history. About 1600 years ago, Christians fled the Romans and then Muslims and hid in this area - often in underground cities - absolutely fascinating. The natural scenery is also unique - laced with volcanos and looking like the surface of the moon. The rock formations are called Fairy Chimneys - very impressive. I took these photos in October 2008. |
