Deutsch: Der erste Kaispeicher mit Zeitsignalturm am Kaiserhöft. Das Foto wurde gemacht von Georg Koppmann, Scan von einer Postkarte, Originalbeschriftung der Karte: Kehrwiederspitze 1882, Georg Koppmann. Das Foto muss entstanden sein kurz bevor der Zeitsignalturm mit dem Zeitball bei einem Brand zerstört wurde. Später wurde der Turm mit dem Zeitball wieder aufgebaut. Im Betrieb bis 1963, dann wurde der Speicher mit Turm gesprengt und gegen den neuen Kaispeicher ersetzt an deren Stelle sich heute die Elphie befindet.Der Zeitball wurde immer Mittags exakt um 13.00 Uhr (UT, Greenwich) fallen gelassen, das Signal dazu kam von der Sternwarte, damals am Millerntor. |
