Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: It was a beautiful, crisp, fall day. Change was in the air, as both man and nature prepared to transition too winter. Not many people around, and the sights, smells and sounds of fall time abounded. The main focus of the photo is on the historic mill building and the surrounding infrastructure. The panoramic ones add some context to the surrounding terrain which features the Kennicott glacier and river. Of note is that pictures of the mill from 100 years ago were often taken from on top of the Kennicott glacier looking down at the site, were as now that angle no longer exists, as the glacier has receded considerably.
