[edit]DescriptionKhusru Bagh Tomb of Sultan Khusru's Mother Shah Begum.jpg |
English: I have captured this picture on my last visit to Khusru Bagh. It's true that travelling gives knowledge. Once you visit some new place you observe that there's a lot to know about different things im this world. Below are some information that I got when i visited this beautiful monument.
This is the tomb of Sultan Khusru's Mother-Shah Begum. She was the first wife of Jahangir. Khusru's mother was Man Bai whom Jahangir had given the title of Shah Begum after the birth of Khusru. Man Bai was the daughter of Raja Bhagwant Das of Amber. She committed suicide at Allahabad in 1603 by taking an overdose of opium as she had became heartbroken and distraught at the bitterness between father and son. |
