Summary

Description
English: Protein Ki-67 in the human MCF-7 cells. Ki-67 is a nuclear protein that is used as a marker of proliferating cells. In the interphase Ki-67 localizes in the nucleoli and nucleoplasm. During mitosis Ki-67 protein translocates to the surface of the condensed chromosomes. However, biological role of Ki-67 in the cell cycle remains unclear.
