Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Map showing Lee's retreat and Kilpatrick's pursuit after the Battle of Gettysburg. This map was drawn in Microsoft Excel, and the scale is approximate. It is based on a map created in 1863 by G.W. Bacon & Co. and a drawing in the book named "One Continuous Fight: the Retreat from Gettysburg and the Pursuit of Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia July 4-14" by Eric Wittenberg, David Petruzzi, and Michael Nugent. The entire G.W. Bacon map can be found in the Library of Congress map1. Another map used for reference was B.B. Russell’s 1860s map called The new war map of Virginia, Maryland & Pennsylvania. That entire map can be found in the Library of Congress here map2.
