| Description | This photo only begins to capture the beauty and tranquility at this remote location. We drove a long, bumpy dirt road from Polebridge, MT to get to Kintla Lake at the far Northern part of Glacier National Park and just south of the Canadian border. There was a small campground and very few people here, so it was easy to find a spot alone to wade into the cold glacier-fed lake. The mountains on the far side of the lake are a combination of peaks along the border, some in the US and some in Canada. This ended up being one of the highlights of our time in Glacier NP. |
