Description
English: in 1904, this cartoon by Lee W. Stanley illustrated a news story about an incident in Chicago wherein a man who wanted a divorce from his wife told his stenographer to eavesdrop on her telephone calls. The stenographer overheard the wife making a kissing noise to her partner in adultery, and this was considered sufficient grounds.
