Description
English: CLED agar is used in urine cultures as it supports the growth of urinary tract pathogens while inhibiting the swarming of Proteus species. The growth of Klebsiella oxytoca on this medium, indicated by its distinct colony morphology, can be an important clue in diagnosing urinary tract infections.
