- description: Rechmire kneeling, holding in front of him a large sistrum (rattle for ritual purposes): handle, frontal face of the goddess Hathor with ears of a cow and voluminous wig, cow-horns framing the sun disc, behind a temple (constituing the body of the instrument); upper part of the sistrum and head of the statue missing - production place: Egypt - period / date: New Kingdom, early 18. dynasty, reign of pharaoh Amenophis II (cartouche on the right upper arm), ca. 1400 BC - material: quarzite - height: 32 cm - findspot: Koptos (modern Qift) - museum / inventory number: München, Staatliches Museum Ägyptischer Kunst GL 87
