Description
Nederlands: Het embleem is ontstaan in de periode van de vierde Groep Geleide Wapens (4GGW) in de Koude Oorlog en is ongewijzigd gebleven gedurende de verdere geschiedenis. Het symboliseert het militaire en het vliegende karakter als wezenskenmerken van het Commando Luchtstrijdkrachten. De wapenspreuk verwijst enerzijds naar de historie van het squadron, laatstelijk als bewakingssquadron binnen de Groep Luchtmacht Reserve (GLR). Anderzijds geeft het met steekwoorden het militaire karakter (waakzaam) en het bestaansrecht (doeltreffende inzet) van het squadron weer.
