Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Tenggarong (disingkat: TGR[1]) merupakan sebuah kota kecamatan sekaligus ibu kota Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara, Kalimantan Timur. Wilayah Tenggarong yang terbagi dalam 12 kelurahan dan 2 desa ini memiliki luas wilayah mencapai 398,10 km2 . Cikal bakal berdirinya Tenggarong adalah sebuah rantau bernama Tepian Pandan yang telah dihuni masyarakat puak Kedang Lampong sejak tahun 1730. Ketika Aji Imbut yang bergelar Sultan Aji Muhammad Muslihuddin memindahkan lbukota kerajaan dari Pemarangan ke wilayah ini, nama Tepian Pandan diganti menjadi Tangga Arung. Seiring perjalanan waktu, nama Tangga Arung akhirnya lebih populer dengan sebutan Tenggarong Peninggalan bersejarah yang masih bertahan di Tenggarong adalah bekas istana Kesultanan Kutai yang kini berubah menjadi Museum Mulawarman. Di samping itu ada pula Masjid Jami Hasanuddin yang merupakan masjid tertua di Tenggarong
English: Tenggarong (abbreviated: TGR [1]) is a sub-district city and the capital of Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. The Tenggarong region which is divided into 12 villages and 2 villages has an area of ​​398.10 km2. The forerunner of the establishment of Tenggarong is a migrant named Pandan Bank which has been inhabited by the people of Kedang Lampong people since 1730. When the Aji Imbut, entitled Sultan Aji Muhammad Muslihuddin, moved the capital of the kingdom from Pemarangan to this region, the name of the Pandan Bank was changed to the Arung Stairway. Over the course of time, the name Tangga Arung finally became more popular as Tenggarong. The historical relics that still survive in Tenggarong are the former palace of the Kutai Sultanate which has now turned into the Mulawarman Museum. In addition there is also the Jami Hasanuddin Mosque which is the oldest mosque in Tenggarong
