English: Krasny Bor is a wooded area, not far from Petrozavodsk, the capital of Karelia, in northwestern Russia. It has become widely known in 1997 as The Forest, Red with Spilled Blood, one of Stalin's killing fields of the late 1930s, thanks to the efforts of the historian Yury A. Dmitriev, the head of Memorial in Karelia,
The burial site covers an area of approximately 350 by 150 metres. According to execution reports in the former KGB archives for Karelia, 1,196 people were shot and buried there: 580 Finns, 432 Karelians, 136 Russians and 48 persons of other nationalities. The shootings took place from 9 August to 15 September 1937 and from 26 September to 2 October 1938.

Место казни обнаружено в 1997 году экспедицией краеведа Юрия Дмитриева в лесном массиве на 19-м километре автодороги Р19 Петрозаводск-Вознесенье (не доезжая 4-х километров до села Деревянное). Площадь захоронения около 0,52 км². Согласно рассекреченным архивным данным, с 9 августа по 15 сентября 1937 года и с 26 сентября по 2 октября 1938 года здесь были расстреляны 1196 человек: 580 финнов, 432 карела , 136 русских и 48 лиц других национальностей. 31 октября 1998 года был открыт мемориал жертвам политических репрессий 1937—1938 годов.
