Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A submerged statue of Jesus Christ, known as Kristu tal-Baħħara (Christ of the Sailors), rests on the seabed two kilometers off the coast of Malta, created by sculptor Alfred Camilleri Cauchi to commemorate Pope John Paul II's visit in 1990, resembling the iconic Christ of the Abyss in Italy, and now submerged near the MV Imperial Eagle wreck at a depth of 35 meters.
