Description
English: Plate with several figures at a table with the text "Illuminati". This was the name given to a secret society, forbidden by the Roman Catholic Church. An eagle holds a banner naming light as teachress. The meaning of the scene is not quite clear. From Castelli, Carmine Gentili, Early 18th century.
