「昭和四十七年一月、福岡市都市計画復興土地区画整理事業の換地計画[1]に基き、戦後未整理のままに隣接する用水路用地が、神社境内地に編入されたのを契機に、簡易商店街の新設、同時に南神門の移転を実施した。▼即ち、入居八店舗の交渉、御末社等の移築、約十米余の当南門の移動ではあったが、その施工に当っては筆舌し難い幾多の困難を伴った。幸い宮総代を中心とした氏子各位の献身的協力を得て、今茲に其の完成を見た。仍って之を顕彰する。▼昭和五十四年七月▼博多総鎮守▼櫛田神社▼宮司▼阿部邦彦」（以下略）
