Description
English: A scanned engraving from the book L'Ermatena (Hermathena), with the inscription communi studiorum foedere iuncti (community studies covenant united). The image depicts a janus-like bust of Hermes and Athena. On the left is a cock and caduceus (symbols of Hermes), on the right is an owl and olive branch (symbols of Athena).
