Description
Español: Debe su origen a la antigua aljama judía de la ciudad en torno al siglo XII, que se construyó siguiendo el trazado de la calzada romana Caesar Augusta que pasaba por Complutum. Al igual que hoy, era la calle comercial Es una de las calles porticadas más largas de España, con vistosos bajantes vierteaguas acabados en cabezas de dragón aunque son relativamente nuevos. En antiguas fotografías de principios de siglo podemos ver en las cornisas de los tejados ya tenian unos los vierteaguas que tenían precisamente de esa forma. Aunque antes los dragones escupían el agua desde los tejados directamente en la calle.
